Only 4% of Golfers...

Did you know only 4% of golfers can drive the ball 300+ yards? Did you think it would be more than that? I did. I think that number should be higher. One small but important component of a golf swing is your grip on the club.
Many amateur golfers choose to not put much effort into deciding what equipment is best for them. They figure that they're nowhere near good enough for anything like what shoes they're wearing to even matter.
I strongly disagree with this mindset. "Look good, feel good, play good" my dad always said to my brother and me before a little league baseball game. His priority as coach was to get us new, slick-looking uniforms. We went undefeated that season. Well, not exactly. While he wasn't the most gifted coach that ever lived, we were definitely the best looking little league team that year.
Obviously, there are a few technical aspects to golf that might help you play better. But besides just looking the part, having equipment designed for the sport you're playing just makes sense. I can't tell you how many times I've seen beginner golfers wearing sneakers or boat shoes, and their feet just go flying as they try to hit the ball a mile. Or, they got some hand-me-down clubs from the 1890s with the baldest-looking grip I've ever seen.
Do yourself a favor. Get a glove, some golf shoes, and re-grip those clubs. I think the results will surprise you.
