How to Guarantee Success in Anything

Perhaps that's a bold title. However, I’ve had a 100% success rate using this one strategy (2 for 2).

It may have taken over a year and a half to go from the conception of GÜS Golf to our first sale, but hey, we got there.

When I first had the idea to launch a golf business with a specific mission, I wrote on a piece a tape "Take One Sale", and stuck it to the top of my laptop screen so I could look at it every time I opened it up and was tempted to play Age of Empires. I used the same method in high school by making a dream board above my desk that had photos of the college I wanted to go to. That worked too.

Many entrepreneurs will tell you, the hardest sale to take is your first one. If you've started a business yourself, I'm sure you'd agree.

There are several reasons for this but the biggest one is mental. Usually the biggest hurdle for someone between them and their goals is themselves. To finally take our first sale there was a lot I needed to change about myself first. I had to change my habits, my mindset, my schedule, and several other things most people don’t want to change.

There is something powerful about an image paired with words that you are forced to look at everyday. I once heard from a motivational speaker in high school that you are 70% more likely to achieve something if you have a visual representation you look at daily. He called it a dream board. Now my dream board for GÜS Golf consists of goals out to 1 month from now, 6 months, 1 year, and 5 years. Maybe I'll share them with you one day.

I’ll give you at least a sneak peak now. Our first sale symbolizes the first step towards taking control. While I know there is only One who is in control of everything, I will use the gifts He gave me to take control of our family’s destiny. Not to take control away from Him, because that’s impossible, but to give our family freedom from the grip of greedy employers, financial stress, limited time with family, the list goes on.

If I can take one sale, so can you.

Leading Competitor

Here is Sam's leather glove after a couple of high intensity swing speed training sessions. Notice the hole already forming on the thumb.

Our Microfiber

Yes it is a little dark because Sam uses black Kangaroo leather grips, but there are zero signs of holes forming. This is after over a MONTH of high intensity swing speed training sessions, mind you...
